Just when I thought I was finally getting out of the hospital, Crohn’s Disease struck again. As I’ve said before, Crohn’s is nothing if not unpredictable. At this point, I’d been in the hospital for just under two weeks and I was finally starting to feel better. I’d started on the IV form of cyclosporine and, though delayed, it was finally working. You can’t be released from the hospital while on IV meds, so I had to transition from IV cyclosporine to the pill form. This meant backsliding for a few days, which stinks, but is common with that transition. After that, I thought I was finally stable. My stomach felt differently.
